Allows learning at each student's level
Students can work individually or in small groups
Ideally, one station should be a teachers station
One station should be using technology and/or online resources( Remember...content should be the focus and NOT the technology!)
Works at all grade levels (although many feel that this is more of an elementary approach)
Instruction can be differentiated based on need

So, you want to work on Station Rotations...Now What?

Here are a few questions you will need to answer for your situation:

What lessons will Station Rotation work well with?
Will you need to adjust your classroom management strategies to implement Station Rotation?
How will you introduce your students to Station Rotation?
How will you determine the most important content to include in your stations?
Will you need to adjust your classroom set up to accommodate Station Rotations?

Complete any or all of these challenges to get started or continue your journey with Flipped Instruction:

Answer the "Now What?" questions above.
In 3 minutes 1) choose a topic that you teach 2) brainstorm 3-4 stations you could integrate 3) write down as many details about the stations as you can (ie. activities, technology used, any assessments, etc.)
Identify a station that could be used in your class this year. Identify how the activities could be modified for different needs.
Make a list of "procedures" that could be shared with students regarding station rotations. (ie. What if there is a question? When will students be able to collaborate? etc.)
Do an Internet search for Station Rotation . Find at least 5 new facts or suggestions to try regarding Station Rotations.
